Highlands Ranch is a gated community in Poway, California known for its luxury custom homes and oversized lots. Residents enjoy panoramic views of the vineyards, mountains, and valley.

Highlands Ranch is comprised of a variety of floor plans that involve curb appeal and some of the finest construction material. This community is served by the Poway Unified School District which provides highly ranked facilities like Chaparral Elementary School, Twin Peaks Middle School, and Poway High School. There are also several private institutions to choose from including Cornerstone Christian Montessori School, Mt. Olive Lutheran Preschool, and Poway Christian School. This is the home of Bellus Academy and Berean Bible College.

Highlands Ranch is located near Rancho Bernardo Winery which features a tasting room as well as many events. There is a Farmer’s Market here along with a restaurant and charming boutiques. This community is practically surrounded by golfing venues with the Rancho Bernardo Inn Resort Course, the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, the Oaks North Golf Course, the Stoneridge Country Club, and the Maderas Golf Club.

There are many trails and parks in this region and to the north is Lake Hodges a lake and reservoir that offers many recreational opportunities. Visitors come from all over the state for bicycling and kayaking as well as horseback riding on the 55-mile trail that runs from coast to crest.

Residents can head north to the stores of Escondido or south for centers like Creekside Plaza, Twin Peaks Plaza Shopping Center, and Poway Plaza.

This rural setting has given Poway the slogan - “The City in the Country.” Old Town Poway has a Farmer’s Market on a weekly basis. The Poway Center for the Performing Arts has many live performances.
